Introduction Tanners is located 1 mile from Yarmouth ferry port and is a chalet bungalow on two floors. The first floor has the master bedroom with ensuite bath / shower and utility room. The ground floor comprises, two further bedrooms, family bathroom, lounge / diner and kitchen. We have tried to provide as much information as possible in this statement. Pre-Arrival Our website contains full information and colour photographs of our property, the surrounding area and links to local attractions. The nearest ferry port is at Yarmouth (1 mile away) Yarmouth is a public transport hub in West Wight and Port La Salle is served by the No.7 Southern Vectis service with buses operating every hour to Newport and Freshwater/Totland. The nearest bus stop is close to the entrance to Port La Salle. Newport is the central hub which provides bus services to the rest of the island. If you are travelling to the island without a car we can offer discounted foot passenger ferry deals and help you plan your journey on public transport Surrounding roads have recently been resurfaced by Island Roads and are level and easy to navigate. Coastal Mobility (01983 866431) offer the hire of scooters, wheelchairs, walking aids, etc. We can arrange for your welcome hamper and any shopping to be delivered on arrival. 2 P a g e
Key Collection, Welcome and Car Parking The key is located in a key safe at the front door, (details provided after booking). Special arrangements will be made for guests with limited mobility or arriving on public transport. Recognising that people who opt for self-catering prefer to do their own thing guests are not normally welcomed in person but this can easily be arranged if wanted. There is ample car parking along the side of the property (block paved) and a gravel turning area at the front which can also be used for parking. Lighting for the parking areas is operated from inside the property. There are no steps or gates to negotiate from either parking area to the front entrance. There are however, raised bricks that line the steps to the rear garden where care should be taken. These are found at the end of the paved area immediately next to the property. 3 P a g e
Entrance to Property The entrance has no steps. There are no hand rails at the door or in the hallway. The door is 84cm wide and the key hole lock is 98cm high Hall and Stairs Inside the front entrance is a hallway 108cm wide but narrows to 78cm between bookcase and radiator, which leads to the lounge, downstairs bedrooms, family bathroom and staircase. The hallway to the ground floor bedrooms is 97cm wide at the narrowest point. Well lit hallway with a single pendant light Short pile carpet Staircase is 1 flight to first floor. The stairs are 20cm high, 25cm deep, 79cm wide with hand rail to the right.
