Key Insights The western cities of India witnessed an increase of 46 per cent in residential launches (August 2016) over the previous month. Ahmedabad, Pune and Mumbai contributed 43 per cent, 31 per cent and 26 per cent respectively to the total launches witnessed during the month Ahmedabad outperformed Mumbai and Pune with an increase of over 140 per cent in new launches during August 2016, as compared to the previous month. Majority of the new launches in Ahmedabad were witnessed along SG Highway and in the localities of North Ahmedabad While prices across Mumbai and Ahmedabad largely remained range bound over the previous year, Pune saw marginal price increase across all localities in the range of 2 per cent to 3 per cent annually. Viman Nagar, in particular, witnessed a price appreciation of over 20 per cent over the last 12 months News & Deals: Lodha Group has raised Rs. 2,320 Crore in a debt transaction from Piramal Fund Management for the development of its projects in south and central Mumbai Piramal Fund Management and Shapoorji Pallonji Real Estate Development jointly invested Rs. 300 Crores in a residential project launched by Ornate Spaces at Oshiwara in suburban Mumbai Sethia Group has raised debt worth Rs. 115 Crore from Edelweiss Group to finance the development of two of its newly launched projects in western suburbs of Mumbai Page 01
