Be sure your brokerage has a safety plan in place. When meeting clients for the first time, meet at your office or in a public place. Take a buddy if you are unsure. Ask for identification or ask the client to complete an information sheet with basic information; name, address, phone number. Be sure someone knows the address of where you will be and when you should be back. Drive to showings in separate cars. Go to NAR s field guide for REALTOR safety http://www.realtor.org/topics/realtor-safety
