NANAGLASS SL25 engineering details Weather and Noise Resistant When shut, because of only a 1/8 (3 mm) gap between panels, a certain level of protection is provided against wind, rain and snow. The SL25 with 5/16 (8 mm) tempered glass tested to an STC value of 17. With thicker and/or laminated glass, even higher values are possible. High Structural Performance Depending on structural design wind load requirements, glass thicknesses from 5/16 (8 mm) to 1 2 (12 mm) is available. A DP of +40 psf/ -45 psf per ASTM E330 structural load testing was achieved with 1 2 (12 mm) and 2 7 (800 mm) x 7 8 ((2350 mm) panels. Forced Entry Protection The pin and socket locking system for the ADA flush sill option provides security. 50 In-Line Load Bearing The horizontal twin ball bearing runner carriages with 140 lbs (65 kg) load bearing capacity are in-line. This means that when the panels are open, the structural load is within the plane of the opening. Easy to Clean Outer glass surfaces can easily be cleaned from the inside thanks to the laterally secured panels.
Ventilation The primary opening panel can be opened and held in place at two levels for controlled ventilation. Height Compensation With a compensation channel, height variations and deflections of up to 1 3/8 can be accommodated for quick and easy installation. Width Adjustment Width compensation up to 1 3/16 (30 mm) is possible by means of adjustable frame and panel stops. Knob On the primary opening panel, as an alternative to the patented stainless steel cable control in a one hand operation, a knob is available for both internal and external use. 51
