Prior to this, he was a Public Policy Scholar at the Wilson Center in Washington, DC; Research Fellow/Senior Analyst at the European Union Institute for Security Studies (EUISS) in Paris; Visiting Professor at Bocconi University in Milan; Marie Curie Research Fellow and Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence; Graduate Teaching Assistant and Lecturer at the London School of Economics and Politicl Science (LSE). He has published widely on: Europe-China and Europe-Asia relations; Chinese foreign policy; Asia s security; China/Asia in transatlantic relations. He is the author of the monograph: Remaking Global Order. The Evolution of Europe-China Relations and its Implications for East Asia and the United States (Oxford: OUP, 2009); editor of the volume: Brussels-Beijing: changing the game? (Paris: EUISS, 2013); and co-editor of the book: European Foreign Policy in an Evolving International System. The Road towards Convergence (Basingstoke: Palgrave MacMillan, 2007).
