The above mentioned vendor was awarded a contract by Pinellas County (156-0227-R (RG)) solicitation title of on-line auction services for the sale of surplus property for Brevard Public Schools on an as-needed basis, solicitation number of. There will be no cost to the school district for this service, as all auction fees would be paid by the winning bidder. CONTRACT TERM: The initial contract term shall commence 03/01/2017 and continue until 09/26/2021. RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommendation of Mark Mullins, Deputy Superintendent/Chief Operations Officer, and Ed Parker, Director of Purchasing and Warehouse Services, to utilize the Pinellas County contract with GovDeals, Inc. for the provision of on-line auction services for the sale of surplus property for Brevard Public Schools on an as-needed basis. Background Information: On April 14, 2016, the Purchasing Department, on behalf of the Real Estate Management Department, released a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the above referenced services resulting in eight (8) responses. In an effort to increase County revenue, the RFP contained an option to provide additional revenue to the County, as the lead agency of this Cooperative contract. As a result, the County will receive two percent (2%) of the Contractor s gross profit for each transaction initiated by Cooperative members. Based on transactional estimates by Cooperative members, the County anticipates an additional $5,886.00 in annual revenue for being the lead agency of this contract.
