AN INTRODUCTION The houses of the Brangwyn Estate were built during the 1930s when the Tudor-revival style was particularly in vogue; as was the desire for generous room proportions, and a focus on comfortable family living. This house exemplifies this, and as you approach, it certainly feels grand with an air of history in the leaded lattice windows and thick wooden beams. It is inside however, where the scale of the house and the quality of the renovation becomes apparent. It is immediately clear the current owners have a keen eye for interiors, as they have been careful to blend contemporary design and colour with the original features of the house. The result is a home which balances home comforts and modern luxury perfectly, and you are welcomed in to a bright and spacious entrance hall where natural light streams down the central stairwell through its glass balustrades. Every inch of this substantial home has been renovated to include a full rewire, new plumbing and heating, full redecoration and triple glazed windows have been fitted throughout, so you can move straight in and rest assured no maintenance costs will be coming your way for years to come. LIVING SPACE Unifying the ground floor, Karndean flooring with a rustic wood effect flows into the reception rooms to the left and right, and these are accessed through glazed double doors so the ground floor flows beautifully for entertaining. A cupboard ahead houses the in-house technology systems which have been hardwired throughout the property to ensure continuous connectivity. Each room is zoned for lighting, heating and sound, and all can be managed remotely through yours and your family s smart phones even when you are not in the country, so you can pop the heating on in time for your arrival home. The security system is also connected, as are the outdoor lights and sound, so you can listen to music while you relax by the pool perfect. We had originally planned to stay here, so every detail was considered in the renovation and only the finest materials and workmanship were used. We have been incredibly happy with the results, and it has been a great home with older children as there is so much space you never feel on top of one another. There is a lovely community atmosphere in this road, which is why so many people have stayed here so long. You can get in and out of town with ease, or walking in the country within 5 minutes, yet it is a fantastic space for entertaining too. We have found another project so we are moving on, but we will miss it here. - Vendor s comments. THE GARDEN LUXURY BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS Outside, the garden is raised and terraced with a heated pool taking centre stage. Open to the south and the west this is a real suntrap during summer, and there is an area of lawn for sunbathing too. Edging the countryside it is abundant with wildlife, so it is a real treat for the senses out here, and with established borders it is nicely low-maintenance. There is still some scope to landscape the space; to create raised beds for planting, and make use of the patio areas which are currently paved and accessible via bi-fold doors from the kitchen area.
