Engagement Activities: 1 Municipal Level: Several meetings were conducted with the targeted municipalities and JSCs. The meeting objectives: To develop the collection and treatment models in order to reach a final agreement for implementing the project activities. To agree on the construction works and the required equipment for the composting plants. The mechanism of collecting biowaste and getting the Bulking materials. To define the role of each party in the project. To prepare for the communication activities that will be carried out.

Preparing the MoUs: HWE agreed with the targeted municipalities on the project details and signed draft MoUs with them. There will be three agreements with three municipalities: Jericho Municipality. Ramallah Municipality. Al Ettihad Municipality.
Engagement Activities: 2 Governmental Level: Several meetings were conducted with the Environmental Quality Authority (EQA). The meeting objectives: To discuss the project criteria and the procedures that HWE should follow to get the approval for the project. EIA study should be prepared and submitted to EQA in order to get the approval. To discuss the communication activities.
Engagement Activities: 3 Local Manufacture: Field visits for composting plants that used local manufactured equipments and meeting with some of the local manufacturers. Yatta Landfill Al Nassareya Composting Plant
