We hope our facility provides a great atmosphere for your event. Attached, please fmd and review the rental packet. Please take note of the following: Proof of residence in Genoa Township is required (copy of current utility bill or other document. A rental application must be submitted along with the applicable tee and security deposit within five (5) business days of the date of your reservation. (Checks should he payable to Genoa Township.) A security deposit of $100 must he paid prior to your reservation. If the Hall is in an acceptable condition afler your event, a refund check tor the deposit will he issued to the renter. Tfthe condition of the Hall is unacceptable, the cost of returning it to its previous condition will be deducted from the deposit. While the security deposit is refundable, the rental fee is non-refundable. However. if the event is cancelled, the rental fee may be applied to another rental within 12 months. ~ Nice Place to Live" GENOA TOWNSHIP HALL RENTAL FEES The Genoa Township Community Hall is only available for rental by residents of Genoa Township. All rules and regulations apply as listed in the Hall Rental Permit. Group Rentals: Public Service Groups (Le.,Homeowners' Assoc., Senior Citizens, Scouts, Blockwatch Groups, Civic Organizations) No Charge; limited to one free meeting per month. Genoa Township Trustees, and any subcommittee of the Trustees will be given first priority over gratis hall reservations. Non-Public Service Groups (with members who reside in Genoa Township) Rental fees will be paid in advance for the year as follows: $100.00 security deposit (once paid, may roll over year-to-year) $100.00 rental fee per rental date. Private Rentals: (Available to Genoa Township residents only on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.) A non-refundable $100.00 rental fee must be paid at the time the application is turned in and the reservation is made. The $100.00 security deposit may be paid anytime prior to the rental date. Any damages or cleaning costs will be deducted from the security deposit. All deposits will be refunded to the renter after the facility has been inspected. All Rentals: The Community Hall can be reserved for one day only. Rentals for two or more consecutive days are prohibited.. All renters are required to provide a one-week cancellation notice to the Township Administrative Office if the Community Hall will not be used. If rental is cancelled, the rental fee is non-refundable, but can be applied towards a future rental within 12 months from the cancelled date There will be no charge to Genoa Township residents for funeral dinners held at the Hall. Vacate the premises at the scheduled time: rental hours are from 10 a.m. to midnight; 2. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OR INTOXICATED PERSONS ON TOWNSHIP PROPERTY; 3. No for-profit business meetings permitted in the facility; 4. Clean the facility and return it to its previous condition, place all refuse in containers provided by the Township; gather trash into bags and place trash bags in the southwest vestibule, turn off all lights and fans, and lock the doors; 5. To reimburse the Township for any damages to the facilities, building, and equipment; 6. Do not attach decorations, posters, signs, or similar items to the facility; 7. Return all Township property to designated storage spaces; 8. Remove all personal property by the end of the period of use; 9. Be responsible for the group's conduct (groups that abuse the facility or violate rules and regulations will not be issued future permits and will be charged for damages); 10. Do not discriminate against any participant because of race, color, religion, sex, age, handicap, or national origin; 11. THE GENOA TOWNSHIP COMMUNITY HAll IS A SMOKE-FREE BUilDING! SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED IN THE BUilDING! 12. Failure to comply with any of the above rules or regulations, and/or failure to clean the hall as stated in the Hall Rental Information will result in forfeiture of the security deposit as well as applicant not being permitted to rent the hall for future use; 13. No animals will be permitted in the building except for licensed K-9 Companions, Le., Seeing Eye dogs and K-9 law Enforcement units; 14. The Township has the right to request proof of residency in Genoa Township with all potential renters in the form of a current utility bill or other documentation. The applicant hereby agrees that the use of the facility described above shall be upon the conditions listed above and at the exclusive risk of the applicant and hislher guests. No liability shall be attached to Genoa Township, Delaware County, Ohio, its Board of Trustees, elected and appointed officials, employees, agents, volunteers, and others working on behalf of Genoa Township. The applicant further agrees to defend, pay on behalf of, indemnify and hold harmless, Genoa Township, Delaware County, Ohio, its Board of Trustees, elected and appointed officials, employees, agents, volunteers, and others working on behalf of Genoa Township against any and all claims, demands, suits, and loss including all costs connected therewith. This includes, but is not limited to, attorney fees for any damage which may be asserted, claimed or recovered against or from Genoa Township, its Board of Trustees, elected and appointed officials, employees, agents, volunteers and others working on behalf of Genoa Township, by reason of personal injury (including, but not limited to, bodily injury and death and/or property damage. NO MORE THAN 100 PEOPLE WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE. 11. Trash bags and paper towels are located on top of the refrigerator, and cleaning supplies are in cabinet under the kitchen sink. Vacuum cleaner is in with the tables and chairs The Genoa Township Community Hall is a government facility and is used for Township business on a regular basis. To allow residents to rent this building for personal events, the Hall must be maintained in a professional manner. After each use, the Hall is inspected and if additional cleaning is required after your event, you will be charged a minimum of $100.00 for cleaning, at a rate of $100.00 per hour, and forfeit your deposit, at the discretion of the Genoa Township Board of Trustees. You may also be assessed additional costs for damages as listed on the enclosed "Damages Costs" sheet.
