Experience. Freelance practice Ksenija Jurinec born in 1971. in Zagreb. Interior architecture designer with master degree in product design from the School of Design at Zagreb University. Upon her return from intense rotation at the world's leading design studios in Milan and Toronto, she opened her own design studio, working together with an outsourced team, developing selfinitiated projects, working for private investors, large and small businesses. Ksenija weaves multiple areas of design from interior design, product design, packaging design to visual communication. Her work includes the overall responsibility for a project, from the first idea and sketches through to the execution, including monitoring the quality of the design intent, so that it is translated into reality. Believing that the quality of our environment and the system can improve the quality of life, Ksenija is baseing her projects on 10 principles that ensure the security, reduce costs, optimize energy efficiency, health and environment, improving productivity and general well as well as she is inspired by the architectural context, the spirit of the place, life / working style and needs of the customers. She won significant awards for design at home and abroad, begining with the Chancellor's Award, a lifetime achievement award from B.Bernardi Foundation to the prestigious Red Dot Award. Her works have been published in the media and professional literature, shown in numerous exhibitions internationally and become part of the permanent museum collections. Teaching 2 years experience teaching technical drawing and perspective in the School of Applied Art and Design in Zagreb, in the department of interior architecture. Provided individual and group counseling through student workshops in the field of product design, and organized its exhibitions. Visiting lecture at Washington University, USA. Vice president and member of managing board of the Croatian Designers Society 6 years experience organizing different projects and tools inside the Croatian Designers Society and Croatian Design Center, which I helped established to strengthen the communication between designers and industry and to encourage the professional use of design in Croatia. The results included the "Development Strategy of the Wood Industry" and "National Design Strategy" for Croatian government. Faced with the lack of knowledge about design and its process in Croatia, I gathered my colleagues to design a series of cardboard furniture and lamps to and perform design through workshops, exhibitions, events, PR, etc. The result was huge media coverage (around two hundred thousand euro in value) and we successfully won recognition for the profession of product design in Croatia.
I organized several exhibitions in Zagreb and in Ljubljana, including the entire management from sponsorship fund raising, exhibition design and visual identity to PR.
