Tombstones at St. Joseph Cemetery Jug Street Road, Jersey Township, Licking County In conjunction with "A History of St. Joseph's Church, Jersey Township, Licking County," the Bulletin of September, 1979 carried a list of tombstone readings from the church's old cemetery on Jug Street Road. We now present a correction and update of that reading, taken on September 5, 2005 by Donald Schlegel. This arrangement is by rows, so that the stones will be easily located by anyone wishing to visit the cemetery. The rows have been numbered beginning in the east, nearest the old church site, up to row 7. Row 8 consists of a single stone at the north end of the entrance road. The numbering then continues with rows 9 through 16, the latter being at the west property line. The stones were numbered from south (the road) to north (the rear of the property).
