The current owner says: We are surrounded by farmland but, at the same time, there is a bus stop virtually outside the house and we are not far from the village of Sturry. We absolutely adore our gorgeous home but feel it is time to downsize. We spend most of our time here enjoying everything the cottage has to offer. There is lots of wildlife in the garden, including a variety of birds, hedgehogs, foxes and squirrels. There are wonderful places to walk the dog, including to the local reservoir, Broad Oak Water, where there are great crested newts. We can take a shortcut through the woods to the well-stocked farm shop and butchers and, if we want to go out for a drink and a meal without taking the car, the local Golden Lion has a very good rating on TripAdvisor and offers a variety of excellent food. Here, you will find a small supermarket, hairdresser, post office, village hall, pubs and other shops as well as the renowned Kathton House restaurant. Although Sturry station is nearer, in the early mornings if you are going to London it is only about five minutes drive to Canterbury West Station for the high-speed train to St. Pancras.
