Transportation Public transport schedule (De Lijn) To go from KHLeuven to Condo Gardens, take bus 4, 5 or 6. The bus stop Heverlee Kazerne is located close to the business department of KHLeuven. When you leave the school, go right and walk to the next intersection where you find the bus stop. Bus stop Herverlee Kazerne You can take the following bus lines: Line 4 with direction to Herent Line 5 with direction to Wakkerzeel Line 6 with direction to Wijgmaal Until 20:00 there is a bus every 15 minutes. After 20:00 there is a bus every 30 minutes. Bus stop Leuven Campus Vesalius The closest bus stop to go to Condo Gardens is Leuven Campus Vesalius. From there it takes you 5 minutes to walk to Condo Gardens via Dekenstraat. Taxi Jenny You can also call Taxi Jenny (+32 (0)16 26 10 10). A journey from KHLeuven to Condo Gardens will cost you approximately 12,50 euro. A journey from Condo Gardens to the railway station will cost approximately 10 euro. 6
General information Accommodation All participating students and coaches will be accommodated in one bedroom flats at: Condo Gardens Leuven Dekenstraat 87 B 3000 Leuven +32 (0)478 78 14 75 lc@be-housing.be www.be-housing.be/en/condo_gardens_leuven Check-in & check-out Check-in: 11:00 on Saturday and 12:00 on Sunday Check-out: 10:00 at the latest Opening hours reception Monday Friday: 8:00 10:00 and 16:00 21:00 Saturday Sunday: 9:00 18:00 The main gate of Condo Gardens Leuven is closed between 22:00 and 8:00. The code to open the gate is 123369. Please don t forget this code when you go out! Emergency number to be used only in case of an urgent problem in your flat: +32 (0)478 78 14 75 Facilities & rules A vending machine with drinks and snacks is available. All flats, as well as the public and private areas are non-smoking. You will receive the rules of the residence upon arrival. Parking Public parking is possible in front of the residence but you have to pay a parking fee. It is also possible to make a reservation for a parking place at Condo Gardens at 8 euro/day. Payment has to be settled upon arrival at Condo Gardens. It might be advisable to park your car at the KHLeuven campus and to use the shuttle bus and public transport during the week. Money and bank information The currency in Belgium is euro (EUR). Exchange of currency can take place in banks during their normal opening hours, normally on weekdays from 10:00 16:00 hrs. Apart from that credit cards can be used in ATM s located throughout the city center. Note that not all shops and restaurants accept credit cards. Therefore cash might be needed. 7

Basic internet connection is free of charge without login code. High speed internet is possible at a cost of 5, 00 per 3 GB traffic. You can obtain a login code for high speed internet at the reception or in the vending machine. At KHLeuven Wireless internet is available via Eduroam or via guest login (see back cover of this brochure). Desktops to check your e-mail are available in the main entrance hall of the campus. The operating system of all computers on campus is Windows 7 with MS Office 2010. Please be aware that the Belgian keyboard standard is azerty.
