Premier Inn, Salford Premier Inn Salford is a new build hotel development situated on the bank of the River Irwell. It is the first development to be completed as part of the regeneration master plan for the area. The hotel forms the gateway between Salford and Manchester with the River Irwell splitting the 2 cities. A challenging build due to one elevation being situated 6m higher than the tow path of the river Irwell. The main entrance elevation also presented issues as this is tight to Irwell Street, one of the busiest routes in and out of Manchester City centre. The design intent of the hotel is to reflect the old mills and via ducts traditional with the area consisting of black brickwork, sandstone cladding and curtain walling all forming varying steps and saw tooth profiles within the façade.

This innovative system collects and stores waste heat in a thermal store to heat and cool the whole hotel, delivering an 87% reduction in CO 2 and supplying 90% of the consumed energy from a renewable source.
Radisson Blu, Castle Donington
Brooklands Hotel
Collent Street, Hackney Conversion of an existing mill into 50 apartments over 10 floors complete with new basement and retail units to ground floor. The project was completed to a full turnkey situation allowing the new owner to move directly in.
The scheme itself comprises of two / three storey hotels A 142 bed 5 Star Hilton Hotel and an 86 bed 3 Star Hampton by Hilton; As well as the hotels bedroom wings, which are exquisitely finished there is a separate dining wing with function rooms, bars, restaurants and kitchen facilities. Furthermore, there is a leisure wing housing a 20m swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, spa treatment rooms and changing facilities. To the ground floor of the Hampton wing there are training and conference suites for the FA s learning team as well as a 90 seat lecture theatre and a modern digitally equipped library. Also housed on the site there is a flexible indoor Sports building with a multi-use sports-hall that incorporates spectator seating and features a mezzanine steel walkway where staff can overlook sport in progress. As part of the main contract works, we carried out external landscaping to the site which included the installation of drainage swales, hard landscaping and soft landscaping. The hard landscaping included the use of granite slabs, granite seating and granite wall cladding to the water feature in the hotel courtyard. Additionally, we installed the main water feature to the Hotel reception underneath the port cochure. The external car park areas were surfaced in master tint, coloured asphalt. This product has rarely been used on such a scale. A rubber-crumb footpath was also laid to provide access from the football centre to the pitches, usually seen in soft play areas and rarely laid to such vast areas. Soft landscaping was designed to allow the facility to compliment the already impressive setting, with trees, shrubs and turf complementing the installed hard surfaces. An irrigation system was also installed to the hotel courtyard to aid the maintenance of the soft landscaping. A bespoke BREEAM Assessment (2008) has been developed for the buildings. The target of achieving a rating of Very Good was met following the post construction assessment.
