A home occupation shall not include a boarding or lodging house, bed and breakfast establishment, eating establishment, or retail store. Residential - R1-DT, R2-DT, R3-DT, R4-DT, R5-DT and R6-DT Applicable Provisions: A home occupation shall be conducted entirely within a dwelling unit by the occupant of the dwelling unit residence, as defined by the Income Tax Act, of the occupant of said dwelling unit The occupant of the dwelling unit may employ or be assisted by no more than one A home occupation shall not occupy more than 250 m² or 25% of the gross floor area of the dwelling unit, whichever is the lesser. ATTACHMENT #4 Zoning By-law 1784 Definition (Residential - R1, R2, R3 Zones): HOME OCCUPATION: The offices of a veterinarian, physician, dentist or drugless practitioner located in his dwelling used by such veterinarian, physician, dentist or drugless practitioner as his private residence, such offices to be used for consultation and emergency treatment only, but shall not be in the nature of clinics, or private hospitals and in the case of a veterinarian's office, there shall be no boarding of animals. Nothing shall prevent a from carrying on any domestic or household art in his own residence, provided it does not affect the amenity of the neighbourhood. Definition (Agricultural Zones): HOME OCCUPATION: A professional or business office, al service, or creation of handicrafts which is carried on as an accessory use within a dwelling unit which is the principal residence of the or s who are conducting the professional or business office, al service or creation of handicrafts.
