Father: White Misc. Notes m 28 May 1835 Edgar Co IL George Clapp from Ron Smart Sep 2003 Aunt Frankie(frances) recorded that Eliza Jane (White) Clapp is buried at Ray Mills cemetery in Collins county, Texas - east of Denton. I will be checking it out next year when in the area. from Ron Dec 2010 Thanks for getting back to me. As far as the website, you should remember it was created and updated by Randy C Smart in Port Angeles, Washington. A few years ago I was able to go to McKinney (county seat) in Fannin County, Texas to the courthouse and records of cemeteries. A lady helped me and I was unable to locate any reference to Eliza Jane White Clapp buried there. As far as notes made by Frances Folsom Smart Pafford, she passed away before I became interested in geneaology. Marian Fairbairn s records say b N or S Carolina. The majority of the White families in the 1850 1860 Clark and Coles censuses of IL were from SC She signed a deed in Clark Co IL with George on 26 Apr 1854, then probably died 1854 after birth of George Washington before Dec 1855 when George remarried. Most of the family lived in Coles Co IL during this period. 1771 tax list Surry Co NC Thomas White, 3 polls early IL land rec, did one of the Clapps sell to William White?
