AWP Annual Conference & Bookfair Seattle February 26 March 1, 2014 Your Guide to Sponsoring, Exhibiting, & Advertising Photo Tim Thompson

About the Conference Photo Tim Thompson Each year, the Association of Writers & Writing Programs (AWP) brings its writers conference and bookfair to a different city in North America. The big tent for literary presses, magazines, writers, teachers, students, and administrators, our conference attracts more than 11,000 attendees and over 600 exhibitors. We offer more than 450 panel discussions, lectures, receptions, and readings. Ours has grown to be the largest literary conference in the nation. Over the past decade, AWP s Annual Conference & Bookfair has become an invaluable part of literary culture. It has featured lectures and readings by Margaret Atwood, Augusten Burroughs, Sandra Cisneros, Rita Dove, Jennifer Egan, Nikky Finney, Dagoberto Gilb, Nikki Giovanni, Seamus Heaney, Aleksandar Hemon, John Irving, Ha Jin, Philip Levine, Audrey Niffenegger, Marilynne Robinson, Rebecca Skloot, Jane Smiley, Derek Walcott, Jesmyn Ward, Irvine Welsh, Isabel Wilkerson, and C.K. Williams. In 2014, AWP is pleased to bring its conference to Seattle, Washington, a city on the forefront of literary creativity and innovation. We invite you to be part of the Seattle conference by becoming a sponsor. Sponsorship is a highly effective and relatively inexpensive way to promote your program, press, or organization while you support writers, teachers, students, and their literary discussions. Thanks to our sponsors, more than a thousand students have their registration fees waived or reduced each year. This package will provide you with an overview of the 2014 conference, but please feel free to contact us by phone or email with any questions you might have.
