H. 1 George Ricker married ELEANOR 2 EVANS (JOHN 1 ) about 1680. 2 They lived in Dover. George Ricker was killed by Indians on 4 Jun 1706. 3 His brother, Maturin Ricker, was killed on the same day. 4 George and Eleanor (Evans) Ricker had the following children, all born in Dover: i. Judith Ricker, born on 1 Feb 1681. 5 She was captured by Indians in July 1696, but was soon returned. 6 She married Thomas Horne on 14 Apr 1699. 7 He was the born on 28 Nov 1676, the son of William and Elizabeth (Clough) Horne and the grandson of JOHN and JANE CLOUGH. Judith had died by 1720 when Thomas married (2) Esther Hodgdon. 8 ii. George Ricker of Somersworth made his will on 17 Apr 1769. He mentions his wife Zebina; whether this is a variant of Jemima or whether it is a second wife is unknown. Polly (or Molly) Ricker, 49 living unmarried in 1769 Ephraim 3 Ricker (c1730-1824) and Susanna (Leighton) Ricker EPHRAIM 3 RICKER (GEORGE 1-2 ) was probably born about 1730. 50 Ephraim Ricker conceived a child by Elizabeth Marden. 51 It is uncertain whether Ephraim Ricker ever married Elizabeth Marden. 52 Ephraim Ricker married SUSANNA LEIGHTON 53 in Berwick, Me. 54 Susanna Leighton died before 18 Feb 1780, for on that date Ephraim married, as his second wife (or third, if he married Elizabeth Marden), Susan Fall. She was born in 1760. Ephraim and Susan Ricker moved to Hartford, Me. 55 Ephraim Ricker died there on 9 Aug 1824. 56 Susan Ricker died on 21 Feb 1852. 57 Ephraim and Susanna (Leighton) Ricker had the following children, all born in Somersworth: i. Leighton in A Leighton Genealogy: Descendants of Thomas Leighton of Dover, New Hampshire, two volumes (Boston, 1989) says that there is no evidence that she was their daughter and includes her in their family with a question mark.
