This will result in a new mixed-use local centre, retail and social hub that allows space for social interaction and engagement. Fostering a strong and diverse local community, the centre is supported through a diverse mix of housing for around 2,000 new residents, with a variety of demographic and household types catered for. Australand is committed to achieving a 5 star Green Star Communities certification. Independently audited by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) Australand s vision is to deliver a community that embodies the principles of sustainable development, respecting ecological limits and natural resource constraints while encouraging prosperity and social well-being. The Australand masterplan will reduce the intensity of development from the current approved development plan downscaling heights of buildings and traffic. Each subsequent stage thereafter will require separate planning permits from Council.
