From Page 1 http://www.fhco.org/about-us Calls For Service Search The City of Medford Police Department has begun offering a very important tool for local landlords. It is called the call for service search. Basically when processing applications for potential new tenants, a landlord has a credit and background check performed to determine whether they have any negative information that would eliminate them as a potential tenant. For years landlords have relied on this information to insure they get good tenants. Problem is, the information only concerns actual cases filed and/or behavior that has been recorded in an incident report or an actual police report. But what if there was more to this scenario? Now you can have a search performed on a previous address in the City of Medford for the dates they claim to have lived there. On this report is any call made to MPD and what it was concerning: animal complaint, noise complaint, etc.,. No resident names are listed but you get the date and time of the call, what the call is about and the officer who either took the call or responded. This is the only record of this since an incident report was never filed. You can glean a lot of information about your applicants previous behavior and that of their guests. The cost is a nominal $10 per address search and you can request it over the phone and pay with your credit card and have them email or fax it to you. You may also make this request in person at the Medford Police Department: 411 West 8th Street, Medford, OR 97501 Phone: (541) 774-2250. Currently Medford is the only city in Southern Oregon offering such an important resource. 2016 18 JUNE
