Location: Everson is a commercial, retail and professional center serving the Nooksack Valley s rich diversified agricultural community. Farming activities consist of dairy farms, strawberry, raspberry and blueberry farms, small cattle raising operations and row crops such as corn, peas, carrots and potatoes. Street Frontage: The property has 100 feet of frontage along Main Street. Parking: The property includes a paved and improved parking area for 18 cars on the west side of the restaurant. The adjacent public parking lot on the south side of the restaurant provides parking for 60 cars. There is also street parking along Main Street. Improvements: Originally constructed in 1934 the building consisted of approximately 1400 SF, which today is the front of the restaurant and kitchen area. The building was expanded in 1970 and again in 1974. A small amount of additional square footage was added in 2004 when the walk-way along the west side was enclosed to provide a service entrance to the kitchen, and additional storage. The Sellers did a complete upgrade in 2004; bring the building up to City and County building and health codes. Remodel of Restaurant: An extensive and complete renovation of the facility was completed in 2004. The renovations brought the restaurant up to the current building and health codes. The following is a brief account of the work performed by the owners. Architectural & Engineering: Evergreen Engineering & Design produced blueprints for permitting and construction. Roofing: New roof covering torch-down installed 2004. Insulation of Building: Ceiling, wall and floor insulation as per current codes. Gypsum board was removal/replacement to insulate the building. Flooring: New flooring treatment throughout building. Restrooms: Added new ADA restroom and remodeled existing men s and women s. Storage Room Addition: New construction to enclose breeze way, 2 feet of cinder block wall and installation of mop sink and two hot water tanks.
