As Partner at MVRDV, Jan leads the Business Development and Public Relations efforts, forming a client oriented, fast and strategic department which now also includes a strong visualisation team. He has been working on many publications and exhibitions, one of his latest publications was the book MVRDV Buildings. MVRDV is rapidly expanding into new markets and focuses on solutions for global issues through its architecture and urbanism. Jan also lectures internationally, writes for various publications, ran an online design magazine called Dafne, and was from 2007 to 2011 member of the International Projects commission of the Netherlands Architecture Funds.

Andrew TYLEY / UK 4:50pm - 5:30pm, May 14 Grand Ballroom Andrew is Partner of Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners since 2016 and has been involved in a number of key projects as an architect and masterplanner. His work has included design and masterplanning, presenting schemes to clients and working on transportation and airport infrastructure projects as well as giving strategic advice on commercial developments for developer clients. Andrew is currently leading Taoyaun Airport T3 and he was the project lead on the 7 million square foot Wood Wharf Masterplan in London gaining planning permission for one of the largest undeveloped sites in East London. He was also responsible for two major schemes in New York: The masterplan for East River Waterfront that formed part of the redevelopment of downtown New York following 9/11; and a mixed-use development for Silvercup Studios. He was project architect for the BBVA Headquarters building in Mexico City during the schematic design phase and has worked on a number of UK and international schemes at competition stage, including Transbay Tower and Terminal in San Francisco, The Hong Kong Border Crossing Facility and the new Beijing Airport. Andrew helps manage the practice s internal resourcing, allocating staff to projects as demand for specific skills and workload changes during different phases of each job. Andrew participates in a number of school outreach programmes and has been instrumental in finding funding for architectural education programmes in schools such as Morehouse.
