Dear CIDOC2013 Participant, Welcome to 2013 CIDOC which will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 10-17 August, as part of the ICOM General Conference. Our focus this year is on outreach and networking with other committees. We have a series of joint events planned for the week in Rio. Throughout the conference, we intend to maintain a presence at the 'CIDOC Booth' to answer questions and welcome new members. Where possible, we want to encourage CIDOC members to deliver papers to other committees, either on Tuesday or during the Thursday meeting - to act as "ambassadors" for CIDOC. You will find below our Program at a glance as well as more detailed information on the joint meetings CIDOC is organizing with other International Committees and the AGM Agenda. Thursday, August 15 Joint meeting with ICOFOM and ICTOP The focus of the day is useological terminology: presentations, discussion, lunch, excursion and dinner together.
