THE ADDED VALUE COMING FROM THE INTEGRATION Agenzia del Territorio (AdT), as managing body of the nationwide real properties register (Cadastre), is engaged in several initiatives aiming at reducing tax evasion and avoidance in the real estate field. THANKS TO THE FULL COMPUTERIZATION OF THE ITALIAN CADASTRAL SYSTEM AND THE USE OF ADVANCED TECHNOLOGICAL PLATFORMS, IT WAS POSSIBLE TO IMPLEMENT A VERY INNOVATIVE PROJECT, BASED ON THE INTEGRATION OF THE AdT DATABASES WITH EXTERNAL ONES AND AIMING AT IDENTIFYING BUILDINGS THAT, ALTHOUGH EXISTING, ARE UNKNOWN TO THE CADASTRE Pag. 3

PRELIMINARY REMARKS The awareness that existing buildings could be not registered in the Cadastral Databases An area to be investigated of about 270.000 square kilometres The awareness that only making use of the most advanced technologies it was possible to investigate the whole national territory, in an acceptable time.
