This project was a 15,000 square-foot office/warehouse build-out and included a level 2 polishing of the concrete floor. The schedule was pushed to the limit in order to get them relocated by the end of their lease and it was during the Valentines Day holiday which is a very busy time of year for them.
MN TILE & STONE Project Manager: Jake Thomsen Superintendent: Steve Oelfke Architect: Tanek Architects This was a high-energy fast-track project within the historic International Market Square. The project was challenged by the unique characteristics of a historical building, extensive millwork and lighting packages, multi-tenant occupied spaces, and a truncated schedule. The success of this project is due to the collaborative efforts of a very cooperative, tenant-friendly landlord, and design team that had a clearly defined vision, and our great team of subcontractors. We were proud to be a part of making MN Tile and Stone the newest premier showroom in the Twin Cities.
GRETHEN HOUSE Project Manager: Brian Elliott Superintendent: Chris Hegner Architect: The Foundation Architects Another great addition to the Colonial Warehouse Building (located in the North Loop of Minneapolis) is the Grethen House. This upscale women s boutique specializes in unique clothing and accessories by cutting-edge designers, including Isabel Marant, Mother Denim, Yigal Azrouel, Cut 25, Frank & Eileen shirts and Rick Owens.
NEW REFLECTIONS RIDGEDALE Project Manager: Joey Zimmerman Superintendent: Steve Oelfke Architect: PlanForce Commercial Interiors, LLC New Reflections relocated to the second floor next to Macys in the Ridgedale Shopping Center. Their new Salon is a clean, crisp, contemporary and soothing environment that projects a new brand image for the New Reflections name and is a beautiful showcase for Aveda products. A custom designed sculpture in the center of the space directs the eye upward, delighting the senses. The inspiration for the sculpture is a lock of hair in the shape of a curl! A feeling of quiet energy is the result of the meticulous team work!
PARTNERS GROUP Project Manager: Derek Anderson Superintendent: Steve Oelfke Architect: PlanForce Commercial Interiors, LLC We recently completed interior renovations to a building that was originally constructed in the 1930 s located in downtown Wayzata across from the historic post office. The Partner s Group, a select group of insurance and investment professionals dedicated to helping business owners optimize their wealth and protect their life s work, purchased the building. Their wish was to design and build a working space that maximized functionality while maintaining the charm of its era. The Partners Group has plans for exterior improvements in the near future. JACOB JONES Brad s grandson, Gina, Chuck & Meri s nephew, Jacob Jones, age 16, suddenly passed away on May 28th after suffering a head injury from a skate/long boarding accident. Jacob s passion to be a Marine Hero was never fulfilled, however Jacob will be a hero to potentially 68 people whose lives will be saved or improved through the donation of his organs and tissues. A 48 year old married father of 3 children received Jacob s lungs Jakey also gave the gift of tissue. His connective tissue may be used for uterine or bladder reconstruction, or to repair ligaments or facial deformities, which help restore a patient s independence. Through the donation of bone others may experience relief of pain and restored mobility through the repair of bone damage or loss. Saphenous veins and femoral vessels, found in the legs, may be used to replace damaged vessels in dialysis patients and to improve blood flow to legs. Because tissue can be saved for up to five years, it may take some time before all of his donations are ultimately gifted. To honor Jake s love for animals, we asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Crossroads Animal Shelter, a no kill shelter located in Buffalo, MN. Jake s Memorial raised over $3,500.00! Jacob received the Army Achievement Medal which states the following: Sergeant Jacob A. Jones Charlie Battery, 1st Battalion 151st Field Artillery His meritorious achievement for his sacrifice of improving and saving the lives of 68 individuals.
