WELCOME HISTORY Saratoga Lofts, located at 125 W. Saratoga Street, has a long and rich history dating back to 1847. The original structure, built by the Redemptorists Order, burned to the ground during the Great Baltimore Fire of 1873. In October 1873 the present building was rededicated. Known as St. Alphonsus Hall, the building was operated as a Catholic school by the Archdiocese of Baltimore. The educational use of the building continued into 2002.
