The elegant courtyard buildings are renowned as being some of the finest examples of Kent Ragstone, a locally sourced grey limestone, still in demand and greatly valued, especially in the preservation of historical sites. Having been originally built as stables and coach house, The Stables were subsequently used to house wounded soldiers during the First World War, indeed our homes are named after some of these regiments.
