COMMITTEE OF ADJUSTMENT APPLICATION FOR A MINOR VARIANCE PLEASE READ CAREFULLY Prior to filing this application, the applicant is encouraged to meet and consult with the Planning Services Department with respect to the variances requested. The applicant is also encouraged to communicate with neighbours with respect to this application. THE OWNER, APPLICANT OR AGENT MUST APPEAR IN PERSON AT THE COMMITTEE OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING. FAILURE TO APPEAR IN PERSON AT THE COMMITTEE OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING MAY RESULT IN THE DEFERRAL OR DENIAL OF THE APPLICATION. COMMITTEE OF ADJUSTMENT APPLICATIONS REQUIRE: A SINGLE COPY OF THE ATTACHED APPLICATION FORM WITH ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION FILLED IN 14 COMPLETE SETS OF DRAWINGS, PLANS AND OTHER DOCUMENTATION SUPPORTING THE APPLICATION. Proposed buildings and/or structures must be clearly identified. Fully dimensioned floor plans will be required for any variances to floor area and/or lot coverage. Front, rear and side elevation plans with all dimensions in metric units of measure. - 1 -

The approximate location of all natural and artificial features on the subject land and on adjacent land that, in the opinion of the Committee of Adjustment, may affect the application. Examples include buildings, railways, roads, watercourses, lake frontage, drainage ditches, culverts, rivers, streams, wetlands, wooded areas, wells and septic tanks. The current use(s) of the land and buildings and/or structures on the land adjacent to the subject land. The location, width and name of any roads, road allowances, rights of way and/or easements within or abutting the subject land including identification as to whether such are unopened, for public use, private or otherwise constrained. If access to the subject land is by water only, the location of the parking and docking facilities to be used. WHILE TOWN STAFF MAY PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO APPLICANTS, IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE APPLICANT TO ENSURE THAT THE APPLICATION IS ACCURATE AND THE VARIANCE REQUESTED IS SUFFICIENT TO ACHIEVE COMPLIANCE. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Drawings to be folded and stapled into 14 individual sets. Information in the application provided for owner, agent, mortgagee, etc. must be complete including addresses with postal codes, phone numbers, fax numbers. Names and addresses of any mortgagees must be included on the application. All names should be removed from drawings. Authorization Form to be signed by owner and attached to application form (when an agent is acting on behalf of the property owner and the Declaration is signed by the agent OR if agent is to attend the Committee of Adjustment meeting without the owner). Revisions to circulated notices may be accepted or rejected at the discretion of the Committee of Adjustment, at the time of the meeting. Applications should be filed as early as possible, as the number of applications for each scheduled meeting of the Committee of Adjustment is limited. Town of Oakville departmental comments with respect to an application are available online on the Friday before the meeting date.
