The Code Enforcement objective is to maintain community aesthetics and wellbeing in Scottsdale neighborhoods by proactively addressing blight and nuisances while creating a link between the City and residents.

Complaint logged on computer and given case number. Inspector assigned to case. An inspection is conducted within 2 days. If violation has not been corrected, civil or criminal court action may be pursued and/or contractual abatement may be completed. At the expiration of the Compliance Notice the property is re-inspected.

A notice of violation may also be issued for violations requiring city abatement. Within 2 days, an inspection is conducted to determine if a violation exists.

Operation Fix It teams up with volunteers and local businesses to provide labor and materials to help eligible residents maintain their properties. Contact: Program Manager Michelle Bruce at 480-312-8703 Program Criteria: Operation Fix-It: Neighbors helping Neighbors In 2013, Operation Fix-It has provided assistance to over 50 properties totaling over 2,500 hours of labor. Volunteers have performed a various amount of work from painting the exterior of houses, removing weeds, trimming trees, installing gravel and the list goes on.

Tool Lending Center (T.L.C.) What s the Tool Lending Center? A 20ft trailer stocked with landscape tools available for loan to assist Scottsdale residents in cleaning up properties in a blighted condition. What kind of tools are inside? Various landscaping tools (i.e. lawn mowers, weed eaters, blowers, shovels, rakes, shears, trash bags/cans, etc.) Large projects also have the opportunity to use a dumpster for FREE!! This resource has been utilized throughout the city for residents to use to help maintain a strong Scottsdale community and promote well-maintained and safe neighborhoods.
