New Facility will support: HOMELESS TO HOMES Y W C A E M E R C G E N C Y W O M E N S S H E L T E R The region s first women s specific homeless shelter designed to meet women s needs and assist in their transition out of homelessness Basic needs for food, shelter, and safety will be immediately met in a state-ofthe art facility focused on reducing trauma and optimizing women s health Increased capacity of emergency shelter beds from 42 to 60 Non-dormitory sleeping quarters (1-4 per private room) Full day treatment services tailored to each woman s specific needs Residents will not be forced to exit facility during daytime hours High quality individualized case management (1:10 ratio) Comprehensive medical services ranging from on site physical and mental health assessment to treatment and referral Parking facility that will not only support the demands of the shelter, but also provide support for the neighboring United Way facility
