Born in Venice, Italy, from a famous family of artists and glass makers, Filippo Gabbiani developed very early a multidisciplinary interest for art and design. Starting to cooperate with his family in designing and producing artistic glass he completed his studies at University of Architecture of Venice were he graduated with an innovative research sponsored by European Community on usage of alternative energies in architecture. Following his instinctive curiosity for different disciplinary and other cultures he worked in several countries in Europe and in U.S.A. cooperating with prestigious firms of architecture, interior and industrial design before meeting Andrea Destefanis with who founded Kokaistudios in 2000. McCartney Taylor Dimitroff are one of the oldest kichen & laundry design consultancy companies in Australia and formed the MTD Group over 22 years ago. Ian Hopper, FCSI Ian's background in the hospitality/foodservice industry began in kitchen contracting for 11 years and consultancy for the past 22 years. Tim has 45 years experience in the operation and design of commercial catering equipment and facilities. He trained as an Industrial Designer at RMIT and Catering Supervision at William Angliss College. In 1978 Tim opened the industrial design office of Smallwood Liebert and Associates combining foodservices facilities and product design. Foodservice Consultants Australia (FCA) was formed in 1984 as a consulting practice that integrated catering operations consulting with facilities planning and design in a single office, a concept unique at the time. Tim is a professional member of Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI) and served on the World Wide board of the Society in 2002. He is Past Chair of the Asia Pacific Division of FCSI after 6 years as Chair and on the world wide board of directors for 2 years.

He is a Professional Member of FCSI and Trustee for FSCI APD. He obtained his M.B.A from I.M.I - Delhi with majors in Finance and Operation. He is an Alumni of Hotel Management College - New Delhi, India. He has also done a Specialized Course in Management from Harvard Business School. After graduating from Institute of Hotel Management, Bhopal in 1994, he joined renowned Ambassador Group of hotels, Trainee Management Chef and gradually he was heading the Sky Chef division as Master Chef. Later on he moved to Suman Motels into Corporate Planning and was instrumental in the opening of resorts and motels. After a successful tenure in hotels, he then joined a consulting firm specializing in food service design and was instrumental as a part of the team in designing foodservice areas for projects for International Brands. He promoted HPG consulting in 1999, today it s a well known Consulting House specializing in food service design, laundry design and facility planning for hospitality projects. HPG Consulting has already associated with projects for international brands like Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Accor, Starwood, Langam Hotels, Dusit International, Millennium Group,, Taj Hotels, beside local hotel groups in India. HPG Consulting also specializes in hospital food service design and institutional food service design and has completed projects for IBM, FRANLIN TEMPLETON, HSBC, MICROSOFT, CISCO, ADOBE etc in India. Clara obtained her B.Sc. in Food Science (McGill) with First Class Honors and M.Sc. in Human Nutrition from UBC. She worked in Canada as a Registered Dietitian (RD) for 20 years before moving to Hong Kong in 1996. Clara is a professional member of FCSI, Chair of FCSI Asia Pacific Division and director on the FCSI worldwide board, she has been an invited speaker at various international conferences/workshops and has published numerous articles. As a visionary leader, she pioneered the design of foodservice computer systems, successfully piloting and implementing cook-chill and endpoint retherm systems both in Clara Ming Pi, MSc. RD. FCSI Chair, FCSI Asia Pacific Division, Canada and Hong Kong. She also built the first cook-chill Central Production Unit in China. As a volunteer, Clara provided much needed foodservice support in Sichuan, China during the earthquake relief effort in May 2008. Clara spear- headed the Inner Mongolia Tree Planting program, and was awarded the prestigious 2008 FCSI Service Award. In April 2010, she initiated Monday Meatless program at one hospital in Hong Kong to further promote low carbon eating in the Hong Kong Society. This program is now spreading to other hospitals in the region.
