P A G E 1 T H E E N D E A V O U R ENDEAVOUR BY THE RIVER DEVELOPED BY PELLIGRA AND DESIGNED BY IWOLF ATELIER Pelligra's plan to transform the existing car park on 37-43 into something much larger is currently underway. The scope of works will see Cherry Street as a home to a much larger community. The enrichment includes a featured significant mid-rise building with a total of 9 floors that will house showrooms, workshops, and office spaces as well as retail sales and an extensive hardstand area allowing plenty of car parks for customers and staff. They say home is where the heart is. Werribee will soon look more like a mini-city, and bring the heart of the CBD to the residents of Cherry Street s doors. Pelligra s endearing endeavour is to prioritise Werribee as one of its sacred projects and deliver contented outcomes for all parties. WERRIBEE'S CHERRY ON TOP This project will be 13,000 m² comprising of a childcare centre for 40 kids, with 800 car parks, a state of the art rooftop terrace cafes and restaurant spaces.

It is an iconic landmark on this gateway site at the entrance to the CBD of Werribee. Its location is significant as it is at a nodal point at the interface between commercial and civic centres of the city as adjacent the higher density residential area to the north. Cherry Street will meet the council s objectives providing a centralised parking facility in Werribee. Providing a long needed centralised car parking facility. The language and materiality of the building evokes of strength with the verticality of the native bushland of the surrounding area being present in the details of the articulated façade. The mixture of vertical elements on the iconic corner facade interplays with the articulated screens of the car parking levels to form a playful outcome. The solution achieves a high quality and environmentally sustainable architectural outcome. The building consists of three levels of commercial floor plates over the multi-level car parking structure. Streetscape retail together with the ground level commercial entrance activates the street frontage with multilevel car parking facilities accessed from Jellico and Kelly Streets. The childcare centre is located on the roof as the active and sculptural apex. The built form is activated in 3 dimensions with an extensively landscaped garden on the roof level for the commercial occupants of the building. Cherry Street will become a destination providing long needed commercial and childcare facilities together with centralised parking provisions on this pivotal site within the community.

The icing of the cake being their collaboration with Burbank in developing four councilowned sites into residential apartment complexes with multilevel carparks, and office and retail premises. Cherry Street will contain 800 more carparks and a new office facility. Residing in the heart of the Wyndham council, Werribee is a one of Melbourne's sacred suburbs. The lands around Werribee were originally inhabited by the Wathaurong people, with the first European exploration being that of Hamilton Hume and William Hovell in 1824. Werribee today is a major satellite city, and is quickly becoming a mini Melbourne with Werribee's buzzing City Centre. Werribee is home to many technical centres including, the Melbourne Board of Works, farm researches sewerage treatment, and helps water and fertilise much of the surrounding farmland. The City is located on the western edge of Melbourne and covers an area of 542km² and features 27.4km of coastline. According to the The Australian Bureau of Statistics, Wyndham s 2015 population (ERP) was 209,847 persons. Between 2014 and 2015, Wyndham had the largest growth in Victoria, adding 10,202 persons to its population. It also had the second largest percentage change in Victoria with 5.1%, behind Melbourne City with 5.6%. The forecasts predict that there will be substantial growth in Wyndham Vale, Tarneit, Point Cook and Werribee. A projected population boom is expected by 2036.
