The church was intended as a chapel-of-ease to St. John's, Bedminster. It was designed by S. C. Fripp in a Norman Revival style and was built c1841. School house and attached school rooms. Circa 1840 (probably contemporary with the Church) Tudor Revival style in limestone rubble. NGR 357058 NGR 357100 2194M Modern Wills office building, located on the southern side of Hartcliffe Way. The building was a two-storey podium standing over a lake designed by the American firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill. It was constructed between 1970 and 1975. A Roman denarius of the emperor Vespasian, dating to 69-79 AD, was found on Highridge Common, Bishopsworth c.1953 A bow brooch with enamelled head stud and bow was found in the garden of No.92 Coleshill Drive, Hartcliffe c.1971.
