Awarded a qualification in architecture which is covered by the Professional Qualifications Directive (2005/36/EC), have access to the profession of architect in the country in which the qualification was gained and have 2 years professional practical experience. Once your application has been approved, you will then receive your welcome pack. The pack includes your membership card and information about how to access your RIBA benefits and services. For applicants outside of the UK Step one: Calculate your subscription fee Subscription Charge Pro-rata rates Membership runs from January to ember, therefore if you join part of the way through the year, you will only pay for the remaining months of the current year. For example, if you are living in the UK and have been qualified for less than 6 years and join in May, your membership subscription for 2018 will be 137.33. Please see the below table to work out your pro-rata fee based on the month you join.
