QIP Short Term Course on Recent Trends in Application of Art in Architecture (June 8-12, 2015) Course Coordinators: Dr. Ila Gupta, Professor Dr. P.S. Chani, Associate Professor Department of Architecture & Planning IIT Roorkee A one week short term course was organized which was attended by 23 faculty members from different Institutes across the Country. The course was inaugurated by Prof. BK Gandhi, Head QIP, IIT Roorkee. The objective was to share and learn from the experience of a few eminent professionals on their Art work in Built Environment.

He also gave hands-on exercise to participants on creative design. 2. Architect Rajender Kiri, New Delhi He spoke on inter relationship of Art and Architecture Form, meaning and identity design 3. Artist and Sculptor Satish Gupta, New Delhi He spoke on The play of opposites, colour, form and texture, asymmetry and scale 4. Architect Amit Hajela, New Delhi He spoke on Public Art an integral component in public spaces 5. Architect Kavi Jain, New Delhi He spoke on Architecture logical derivation of art form.
