She graduated from Kinston High School and University of Tampa, Fla. She taught school for 30 years in Tampa. Mrs. Dobson is preceded in death by her father, Marcus Enelon Newsom; mother, Henrietta Elizabeth Fleming; and stepfather, Harry Thomas (Bud) Norton. She is survived by her husband, Bernard (Bernie) Dobson of Ozark.
