I would like to tell you about the school trip last year Where did you go? Brittany, in October, staying in a hotel in Dinard How many students? 30, from Year 9 and Year 8
Was it good? Yes - great. I enjoyed Mont Saint Michel most. Also I enjoyed being on holiday with friends - and shopping together What did you do? We visited Mont St Michel, Dinan, Saint Malo, and Rennes
What was the hotel like? Not bad - 3 or 4 of us in each room with TV, shower or bath, and some had telephones. Meals were OK, and the owner very welcoming Was the travelling OK? Yes - but a long time crossing from Portsmouth to Saint Malo. The boat had a cinema and shops!
You liked it a lot then? Yes - I would like to go on another trip to France soon Thank you very much Phillippa, for talking to us about the school trip to France

We spent 3 nights with families in Lauterbach The staff out-danced us at the disco! But they paid for it the next day!! We stayed in a Berlin youth hostel
We went to the Brandenburg Gate - the old border between East and West Berlin. We went shopping! We went to the memorial church where - as in Coventry - the bombed ruin has been left next to the modern church
We went to the Reichstag. A magnificent view from the top. We went to the Checkpoint Charlie museum and found out about attempts to escape from the East We went shopping - again
We learned a lot We saw a lot We laughed a lot Oh and by the way, we also spoke a lot of German!
