The Michigan Association of REALTORS Announces State Committee Assignments The Michigan Association of REALTORS (MAR) announced that the following CMAR members have been appointed to a MAR committee for 2013: Sandi Jeffery- Convention Task Force, Cheryl Jindeel- Broker Summit, Denise Love-Convention Task Force, Robin Stressman and Debra Townsend- 100 Year Celebration Task Force. These committees are comprised of the best and brightest members from all over Michigan, said Bill Milliken, 2013 MAR President. The MAR will rely on them this year to guide us on matters of public policy, political involvement, and real estate education issues. The Michigan Association of REALTORS (MAR), is a trade association comprised of residential, commercial, and industrial members, that protects the rights of private property owners, while serving as the primary source for Michigan housing and real estate data. Northern Great Lakes REALTORS MLS Update March 18 th marks the beginning of a new direction for CMAR members. About 18 months ago work started on the Northern Great Lakes Realtors MLS (NGLRMLS), a MLS merger between CMAR, Traverse Area Association and North Eastern Michigan Association to form a regional MLS. Since then a corporation has been formed, governing documents have been created and approved by NAR, MLS conversion from all 3 MLS s is complete and in Beta testing. Your sellers will have exposure to 900 +/- agents, your listings will be syndicated on sites such as Point 2, ListHub, Realtor.com, Homes.com and more. A complete list is available upon request. A robust and competitive public facing website is scheduled to launch around the same time as the MLS. All three of the current websites will send anyone searching for property information to the NGLRMLS site.
