Apartment Improvement Program Options and Costs Under the Apartment Improvement Program a new pilot that will initially run through the 2014/15, 2015/16 and 2016/17 academic years eligible 1 Tenants in NYU owned housing may elect one or more improvements to their apartment. The Improvement Options from which Tenants may choose are pictured herein. Please refer to the accompanying document Apartment Improvement Program Frequently Asked Questions for more information about participation in the Program. Please note that this is a pilot program that will be tested over an initial three year period. NYU reserves the right to make adjustments throughout the pilot as it deems in the best interests of Tenants and the University based on experience gained during the pilot. Improvement 2: New option of vinyl floor overlay with new whitepainted MDF baseboard in kitchen Total cost if selected as an additional improvement: $2,000 If selected as an additional improvement to be funded by Tenant 3, Tenant pays: $66.66/month for 30 months $33.33/month permanently added to rent Option A for vinyl flooring material: Shaw Tile, Crete Series Sunset Color Option B for vinyl flooring material: Shaw Tile, Crete Series Slate Color Tenant is responsible for removing all items from floor. Improvement 6: New porcelain tile floor overlay in one bathroom (toilet and vanity not included) $5,300 If selected as an additional improvement to be funded by Tenant 7, Tenant pays: $176.66/month for 30 months $88.33/month permanently added to rent Option A Porcelain Tile: Olympia Tile, Cork Series Black 12 x24 Option B Porcelain Tile: Olympia Tile, Allure Series Taupe 12 x24 Option C Porcelain Tile: Olympia Tile, Oxy Series Bright Grey 12 x24 Tenant is responsible for removing all items from bathroom floor. The toilet will be unavailable overnight while the tile dries. If the tenant does not have a second bathroom it is the tenant s responsibility to find alternative accommodations overnight. Improvement 8: Fabuwood Cabinetry with Shaker style doors in solid maple, dovetail construction with white or natural finish. Cabinet hardware will be stainless steel bar pulls. $235/linear foot This cost includes cabinets and hardware, delivery and installation, wall preparation as needed, and any custom trim required to fill gaps. This cost does not include a new counter top; please give consideration to selection of a new counter top in conjunction with selection of new cabinets. If you do not select a new counter top under the Apartment Improvement Program, a standard white laminate counter top will be provided at no cost. Tenant will be responsible for removing all items from cabinets to be replaced and reinstalling items after installation. If selected, replacement of all kitchen cabinets will be required; partial replacements will not be permitted. 8 g Page 9 of 9
