Among the various projects executed by this architectural firm include, residential buildings, commercial buildings, office buildings, etc. SUMMARY: The primary essence of these assignment is to criticized the various projects executed by a particular architectural firm, among the supporting information include, the brief history of the architectural firm, appraisals of the various projects executed by the architectural firm, and general characteristics of the various projects executed by the architectural firm.

HISTORY: Grid construction and investment limited was registered in the year 1998 With registration number RC 457791 the head office is located along emir s drive Gombe, Gombe state, with some other branches in other states. The architectural firm starts with one architect, arch Salihu Msc Uni Jos, one building technologist / architect, arch Ahmed Sintali but today, the architectural firm is in a position of having numerous staffs which among others include, engineers, architects, planners, and project managers. Among the directors of these architectural firm include, Mohammed Abubakar B. Esq. Arch Ibrahim s k. arch Ahmed s u, arch Maji S.I PROJECTS: Among the projects executed by these architectural firm include, residential buildings, commercial buildings, religious buildings, and office buildings, etc taking in to consideration from the four above are: 1. APPRAISALS: Most of the projects executed by this architectural firm are up average standard, depending on the capacity of the client. Among the various elements to be commend include, the roofing these system of these architectural firm which are always obtain functional, and standard with enough aesthetics, example include the roofing system of ta al mp investment house, Aliyu Usman resident, etc. as shown in fig below: Side view area view CRITIQUES: Among the various elements to be criticized include the following: a. wall finishing b. circulation/parking spaces c. building orientation d. ornamentation e. color selection f. construction period

a. Wall finishing: Considering the various building construction executed by this architectural firm there system of wall finishing is of poor standard. Where some times feeling is being made after painting as shown in the fig below: Portion view portion view b. Circulation/ parking space: During the process of these assignment among the observations being made in the various projects executed by these architectural firm include, the inadequate parking/circulation spaces provided to the various building. As shown in the fig below: area view

Building orientation: Orientation of the various buildings executed by this architectural firm are also up poor orientation, because most of there buildings are orientation in such a way that widows are facing sun rise and sunset direction. Ornamentation: This architectural firm does not put more emphasis on ornamentation during there period of construction, according to their system plantation comes after construction, not within the construction period. Color selection: According to the physical survey made for the purpose of this assignment, the various buildings constructed by this architectural firm are in the position of having different color displayed on the various buildings, as shown below: f. Construction period: Considering the fact that construction period depend on the capacity of the client, but still architectural firm has a roll to play, by advising the client on the suitable design for his purpose and affordable at same time. Most of the project handled by this architectural firm, take long period of time under construction. That means they design not in accordance with their clients capacity. 5 years under const. 3 years under const.

GENERAL COMMEND: According to the physical survey made for the purpose of this assignment, such an architectural firm can be classified as a middle class architectural firm because so far the biggest project handle by this architectural firm is a shopping complex/ office buildings for Alh Nasir as shown below: portion view side view CONCLUSION: These type of architectural firm needs to have modern ideas, by employing up to date graduates because most of their staffs are not up to date, not up to date in the sense that they do not design in accordance with the designs of the 21 st century.
