OASIONAL ADDRESS Emeritus Profe$$Or Geoffrey Brinson, MSc Me/b., PhD Shelf., FIM, Eng., will deliver the Occasional Address. Professor 8rinson was Professor of Metallurgy in the University of Wollongong from 1969 until his retirement in December, 1984. He has been associated with the University since 1961 when he joined the then University ollege as Senior Lecturer. He was very active in many aspects of the University's work including seven years as hairman of the Academic Senate. Prior to his Wollongong appointment he had held positions in the SIRD Division of Tribophysics and at the Universi ty of Sheffield. THE THANKS The Vice-hancellor, Professor KR.
