Box 2570 Waco, TX. 76702-2570 254/750-6620 Fax: 254/750-6641 www.waco-texas.com Wastewater System Improvements FY16/17 Phase XII Herring/Sedwick Sewer Phase II ADDENDUM #1 March 07, 2018 Contract Documents 1. The Memorandum of Agreements (MOA) and easements are included here within this addendum. Outside of those items identified in the Bid Proposal, all costs associated with satisfying the MOAs will be subsidiary to various bid items at the contractor s expense. 2. Unless otherwise stated, the city will not pay for the cost of replacing an existing fence to a new fence. If the contractor identifies that the existing fence is not able to be temporarily taken down and then able to be put back up, the contractor shall be responsible for the all costs associated with a new fence. 3. Concerning 530 Herring Avenue: 3.1. Bid Item #24 has been changed to read: Remove 4 trees, level ground, cover with seed or sod & replace existing fence @ 530 Herring Avenue. See Sht. C101 & Special Project Provision 1.10. 3.2. Special Project Provision 1.10 has been changed to read: Contractor to remove existing wood fence along the back of 530 Herring Avenue (Melissa & Tory Schafer, no phone number) and replaced in its original location. Remove three trees and one dead tree along the back fence. All fencing must be restored to its existing condition or better. 3.3. A note has been added to Sheet 101 to reflect these changes. Questions 4. Question: Are working hours constrained due to location of project? Answer: No but working hours will be in accordance with city ordinance. 5. Question: Is the contractor responsible for paying for city inspector s overtime if working on a weekend? Answer: No but if weekend work is to be requested, the request must be made in writing prior to 5 p.m. the Wednesday before. 6. Question: Does the manhole at 10+00 have to poured-in-placed? Answer: No. The manhole at 10+00 can be precast but Bid Item #28 will still be used for payment. 7. Question: Will the tree and treehouse at 517 Proctor Avenue both need to be relocated outside of the easement? Answer: The treehouse shall be placed outside of the easement at 517 Proctor Avenue for the property owner s use. Per the city s agreement with the owner for the easement, see the attached MOA with the Rios, a tree will not be required as the owner was reimbursed for removal of the tree as part of the easement. The tree can be completely removed. Page 1 of 2

8. Question: Are there any photos of the brick pit at 519 Proctor Avenue? Answer: A photo of the brick pit at 519 Proctor Avenue is part of this addendum. 9. Question: Has the Right of Entry been received for every property? Answer: No but every property has either the Right of Entry or a City Sanitary Sewer easement or both for the alignment of the project. 10. Question: Is there a location to store material/spoil? Answer: The contractor is responsible for identifying the best location. The city is no longer allowing for city lots to be utilized. 11. Question: Is a SWP3 submittal required for construction? Answer: The city has included an erosion control plan (ECP) in the plan set. This is intended to be the minimum in satisfying the requirements required by state law and local specifications. If more is required outside of the ECP that has been developed it shall be the contractor s responsibility, and expense, to satisfy those requirements. 12. Question: Will a bid item be added for Special Project Provision #1.5? Answer: No. Per Sheet C101 states that the property owner will relocate the storage shed at 526 Herring Avenue. Bid Items 18 and 12. 13. Question: Is the project accessible from both ends of the project alignment? Answer: The project is accessible from both ends of the project alignment. 14. Question: Is this project scheduled for 60 calendar days or 60 working days? Answer: The project schedule is 60 working days.
