There are no records from 1935 to 1949 because of a fire at a mission church in North Sedalia, and the records were burned. In 1949 the first known plot was drawn and in 1950 after the plat was finished the name was changed. It is now known as St. Joseph Cemetery of Clifton City, Inc. He was a member of Union Local 1792, serving as president for eight years, and then with Local 945 in Jefferson City. He was with the union for 34 years.
