I'm the third great grandson of George Michael Sayler. 30 years or more ago I worked with Viola Saylor Miller (VSM) on the history of the Sayler family. I had a guide given to me by Joseph Sayler, a cousin of my Grandfathers. My 2nd great grandfather was John Sayler Son of George Michael Sayler and brother of Susanna Sayler Longabaugh. After a long period of working together I realized that Viola and I were talking about two diffirent George Michael Sayler's. I had found the birth data Of George Michael's family. Generation 3 (con't) Mrs. George M. Saylor died at the family residence on Main street at an early hour Saturday morning, August 10th, aged 77 years, following a sickness of several years. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Sufall and was born in Jenner township. She was married to George M. Saylor, the well-known veteran painter, 56 years ago, and all of her married life was spent in this place. In addition to her aged husband she is survived by these children: Frank, Harry, Irvin W. Saylor, and Florence, wife of M. E. Craver, all of Somerset. The funeral at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon was conducted by her pastor, the Rev. I. Hess Wagner, of Trinity Lutheran church. Interment in the Union cemetery. Deceased is survived by three brothers-john Zufall, of Somerset; Aaron Zufall, of Somerset township, and David Zufall, of Ligonier, Pa. Saylor, who died Saturday morning, at the family residence in East Somerset, were held at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. W. Domer, presiding elder of the Pittsburgh conference of the Evangelical church, assistef by the Rev. J. Q. A. Curry, pastor of the Scalp Level charge. Interment was made in the cemetery at Pleasant Hill. Franklin P. Saylor was a son of Samuel and Caroline Saylor, and he was born 73 years ago on a farm near Roxbury, in Stonycreek township. At the age of 14 he enlisted in Company E, Sixteenth Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers and served until the close of the Civil War. Following his discharge from the army Mr. Saylor prepared for the ministry and quickly rose to prominence in the Evangelical denomination. He served as pastor of some of the most prominent Evangelical charges in Western Pennsylvania. About twenty years ago Rev. Saylor was elected Prothonotary of Somerset county and served a three-year term. Upon his retirement from office he reentered the ministry, but because of ill-health was never thereafter able to accept a permanent charge. Rev. Saylor is survived by his widow and the following children: C. W. Saylor, Berlin; Mrs. Morris M. Walker and Mrs. W. W. Cupp, both of Somerset and Harry Saylor, of Listie. For 43 years Mr. Craver was employed as a printer and linotype operator by the Somerset Herald. He is survived by his wife, and these children: Robert E. Craver, a Justice of the Peace, of Somerset; Fred Craver and Mrs. Victor Fogle, both of Somerset. These half-brothers and sister also survive: D. W. Rhoads, of Somerset; Theodore Rhoads, of Pleasant Hill; Royal Rhoads, of El Reno. Okla., and Mrs. William Custer, of Pleasant Hill.
