Recent months have been lively, with an interesting mix of new projects, the refurbishment of our office, and the preparation of a new visual identity, positioning us for our future while reflecting our rich legacy. DDS+ validates the importance we attribute to a collective spirit and to the creation of buildings that respond to what they need to be within their specific context. We focus not only on the quality of the projects themselves, but also on their contribution to the quality of the neighbourhood. We deal with architectural complexity, various project scales and mixed programs, in a generous, inventive and professional way. We advocate ethical architecture and inspired urban living. Launching a new visual identity is also a reflection on how our architectural office has grown, has become a vital voice in Belgium and left its mark abroad. Early 2017 s key moment was without doubt the opening of the Rive Gauche shopping centre in Charleroi, a project perfectly reflecting DDS+ s vision. In the central booklet, a selection of photographs highlights the project s role as a driver of urban redevelopment in the city s hyper centre. Rive Gauche illustrates how smart solutions can be found for complex, large-scale and mixed-use urban projects. It also validates the successful evolution from single-use to mixed-use retail projects in the creation of an attractive and sustainable environment. With extensive experience in residential projects, DDS+ continues exploring new ways of living, always in response to the specific local context. Looking to imagine a subtle mix of new life-style and workstyle trends, DDS+ cultivates a deep spirit of Research and Development in its team of architects.
