L-5, Council amended the condition of non-development use made pursuant to section 2 of the Land Identification Regulations (EC606/95) in respect of approximately one hundred and ninety (190) acres of land, being Provincial Property No. 015438 located in Lot 3, Prince County, Prince Edward Island and currently owned by Lorraine Buchs and Kurt Buchs, both of Kildare Capes, Prince Edward Island. Council noted that this amendment will enable subdivision of a parcel of land of approximately twenty-two decimal two (22.2) acres, and determined that following subdivision, identification for non-development use shall continue to apply to the remaining land. This Order-in-Council comes into force on 30 August 2005. EC2005-478 PROVINCIAL COURT ACT JUSTICE OF THE PEACE APPOINTMENT Under authority of section 14 of the Provincial Court Act R.S.P.E.I. 1988, Cap. P-25 Council appointed Susan Arlene MacLeod of Summerside in Prince County, Prince Edward Island, as a Justice of the Peace in and for the Counties of Prince, Queens and Kings in the Province of Prince Edward Island for a term of five (5) years, effective 10 September 2005. Further, Council ordered that should the said Susan Arlene MacLeod cease to be employed by the Province of Prince Edward Island as an employee of the Provincial Court, that her appointment as a Justice of the Peace shall terminate coincident with the date her employment with the Provincial Court terminates.

510 EC2005-479 PUBLIC TRUSTEE ACT ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO THE PUBLIC TRUSTEE ANNUAL REPORT 2003-2004 RECEIVED Council received the Annual Report of the Advisory Council to the Public Trustee for the year ended 31 March 2004, presented pursuant to subsection 11(5) of the Public Trustee Act, R.S.P.E.I. 1988, Cap. P-32.2. EC2005-480 ROADS ACT HIGHWAY ACCESS REGULATIONS COMMERCIAL OPERATION DETERMINATION Pursuant to clause 20(1)(c) of the Roads Act Highway Access Regulations (EC580/95) Council determined that (a) a commercial operation to be established on Provincial Property No. 681908 at Travellers Rest, Lot 19, Prince County, constitutes a change of use for this property, and (b) establishment of this operation adjacent to Route 2 at Travellers Rest is in the best interest of the province. EC2005-481 LIQUOR CONTROL ACT APPROVAL TO LEASE PROPERTY APPROVAL TO BORROW RE: SUMMERSIDE(GRANVILLE STREET) LIQUOR STORE Pursuant to clause 7(g) of the Liquor Control Act R.S.P.E.I. 1988, Cap. L-14 Council granted approval to the Prince Edward Island Liquor Control Commission to: (a) enter into a 10 year agreement with Sobeys Group to lease space in the Granville Street Mall for an annual lease cost of $0.00, subject to one-time capital contribution of $95,000; (b) alter the said leased space by making tenant improvements; (c) borrow up to $300,000.00 from the Provincial Treasurer to undertake the said capital contribution, tenant improvements, and other project expenses.
