If you cannot appear for an agenda item, you must notify Planning and Development by Thursday, 12:00 (noon), one day prior to the meeting date. If you do not contact Planning and Development by this time, you will not be eligible to appear on the subsequent agenda. Two subsequent continuances are allowed. M. 9. 07BAR-00000-00156 Lompoc Wind Energy Project Lompoc 06CUP-00000-00009 (John Day, Planner) Request of Harley McDonald, agent for the owner, Pacific Renewable Energy Generation LLC, to consider Case No. 07BAR-00000-00156 for further conceptual review of The Lompoc Wind Energy Project. The Project is a proposed wind power generating facility located on privately-owned agricultural land in the Inland area of the County. The site is on the

Page 5 coastal ridges south of Lompoc, adjacent to Vandenberg Air Force Base, accessed from San Miguelito Road. The project includes 60 to 80 wind turbine generators (WTGs), 5.2 miles of new gravel access roads and widening of 8.3 miles of existing roads on the participating properties, ten meteorological towers, onsite electric power lines, an operations and maintenance facility, an electrical substation, and a new power line to connect to the PG & E power grid in Lompoc. The WTGs will be approximately 315 to 492 feet high, including a tubular steel tower and 3-bladed rotor. The proposed project will require approximately 245,000 cubic yards of cut and approximately 245,000 cubic yards of fill. The property includes 10 parcels, zoned AG-II-100, with a total area of 2,952 acres located in thevicinity of San Miguelito Road and Sudden Road in the Lompoc area, Third Supervisorial District.
