A lack of supply kept the market moving The market in has been reasonably active so far this year, with some excellent sales achieved three of which we sold in excess of 2.5 million. It seems that although the ongoing uncertainty in the eurozone has affected confidence, a lack of supply has kept the market moving. This pattern looks set to continue in the coming months. Spend time presenting the property you are selling how you would want your new house to look and feel. If I could have a super power, it would be... super willpower to stick to just one portion! Which is the best house you ve sold this year? A stunning ground and garden apartment in the West End. Unsurprisingly, because we knew it would be popular, we sold it off market before the brochure had even been printed. What s the best way to spend a Sunday afternoon in your area? Sitting in the coffee shops and bars in Stockbridge. would it be? Any of the Georgian or Victorian crescents close to the New Town. What s your top tip for making a property stand out? Declutter to make each room as bright and spacious as possible. Which is the best house you ve sold this year? My first sale was a beautiful apartment with a balcony overlooking Castle amazing for the firework displays at Hogmanay and the Tattoo. What s the best way to spend a Sunday afternoon in your area? Where I live, just outside of town near the Pentland Hills, is great for outdoor pursuits, for example, mountain biking at Glentress. would it be? I love Drummond Place with its beautiful gardens a little townhouse there would suit me nicely. What s your tip for making a property stand out? Clean lines and a fresh finish. Remember the importance of making a property look its best through the sale process. would it be? I grew up in Bruntsfield and would love to buy a property in that area and live there again. There are fantastic local bars, restaurants, independent shops and green spaces. What s your top tip for making a property stand out?
