The Land The land and barn at Cartmel provides an excellent opportunity to purchase good agricultural land together with a building with potential for equestrian use, subject to the necessary planning consent. The land extends to 2.376 hectares (5.87 acres) and has access direct from the County Highway. The land has a natural water supply. The land is situated on the fringe of the Lake District National Park boundary in a prime rural position between the hamlet of Greenbank and the village of Cartmel. The barn and adjoining stables are of stone, brick and concrete block construction under a slate and tin roof. The building is in need of repair. The land and barn are likely to appeal to those with an equestrian interest and farmers as well as developers interested in the speculative, long-term potential of this outstanding location. Directions From Cartmel village proceed westwards through the centre of the village towards the racecourse. After the market cross, pass to the right hand side of the old post office and follow the road round to the right and exit the village with the racecourse on your left.
