Situation Lime Kiln House is situated in a wonderfully elevated and private position, on the edge of the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Shillingstone is the nearest village and is less than a mile from the property. There are 2 independent shops, as well as a general store, primary school, church and pub. Additional facilities can be found in Blandford Forum, well known for its stunning Georgian architecture, which is 5.5 miles south east of Lime Kiln House. There are a variety of independent shops and boutiques, cafes, restaurants and a number of pubs. M Lime Kiln House is well located for the local road network, with the nearby A350 giving access to the A303 about 18 miles to the north for journeys to London and the West Country. To the south, the A354 leads to Dorchester and the south coast. There is a mainline station at Gillingham with a regular service to London Waterloo and Exeter St Davids. E There are some well-regarded schools in the area, including Bryanston, Port Regis, St Mary s Shaftesbury, Hanford, the Sherborne Schools, Leweston, Hazlegrove, Sandroyd and Canford among others. national hunt racing at Wincanton. Lime Kiln House Lime Kiln House is approached via a long sweeping drive leading up to a large gravelled parking area. The house is a fantastic example of contemporary Arts & Crafts architecture and has undergone an extensive refurbishment by the current owners to create a superb family home with impressive modern features. The commanding position of Lime Kiln House offers breath taking views over the surrounding countryside from many of the rooms. On entrance to the house, a vast reception hall with galleried staircase leads to the formal reception rooms.
